in September 2021, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) imposed taxes on mobile phones, including iPhones, imported into Pakistan. These taxes included the following components:
Customs Duty: This is a percentage of the phone's value and can vary based on the phone's price.
Sales Tax: Sales tax is levied on the phone's price, including customs duty.
Withholding Tax: This is also a percentage of the phone's value, and it is withheld at the time of purchase.
Additional Regulatory Duty (ARD): Depending on the phone's category and price, an additional regulatory duty may be applied.
Please note that tax rates and policies can change over time, and it's essential to check with the Pakistan Customs or relevant government agencies for the most up-to-date information on taxes and import duties for iPhones or any other mobile phones. Additionally, it's a good idea to consult with authorized Apple retailers in Pakistan, as they may provide guidance on the total cost of purchasing an iPhone in the country, including taxes and duties.
